What to Do in Dijon

Dijon is a lively little city full of interesting museums, churches, parks and stores. There is truly something for everyone; except excessive grandeur.

You can pick up a free map at any of the tourist offices and go from there but a few things we found interesting and relaxing were to prowl around in the catacombs of one of the small cathedrals and take a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens. If you are looking for "grand attractions," this city will likely not fill your expectations. But if a pleasant time without lines of tourists will make you happy, Dijon is a very good choice.

Walk the streets and shop

If weather permits, Dijon is a beautiful city to explore on foot with enchanting parks and quaint neighborhoods to stroll through. As with most European cities, some of the best treasures are off the beaten path. The town is full of interesting shops if you are interested in antiques, check out the area near Notre Dame. Stay within the center village area to explore the older parts of Dijon.
