Where to Stay in Maratea

The older historic town of Maratea is located part of the way up Mount San Biagio, approximately 1,020 feet above sea level. The port of Maratea is located on the coast, just under the town and can be reached by car in about 5 minutes. The area around Maratea has many hotels that range from simple and cost effective to 5 star luxury hotels. There are also apartments for rent for the more adventurous traveler, these tend to be a litte outside of the town, but in some cases have private access to the sea!

Description: Charming hotel located in a 300 year old convent in the old historic center. Though this hotel is not at water level, it has a nice pool and one can reach the coast in l0 to 15 minutes by car.
